Just Be with Bhaishree

Mon - Thurs,  4 - 7th June 2018

This four-day residential retreat is a precious opportunity to live and play together with our beloved enlightened master Param Pujya Bhaishree. Nestled in the tranquil countryside of Somerset we will dedicate our time to wake up to the wonder of life. Coming together as a spiritual family of mumukshus, under our beloved Guru, we will create an environment of peace, love and care for one another.

What will we do?
The retreat is designed to support healthy living, simple eating and pure thinking. We will energise, invigorate and rejuvenate ourselves through daily meditation, yoga, pranayama, long walks in the Exmoor National Park hills, strolls along the beach, and through mindful dialogue in group contemplations and workshops. And in every moment, we will nourish ourselves with the ever-flowing grace of Bhaishree.

Venue and food:
The stunning and peaceful venue of St Audries Park with its breathtaking views will be our sanctuary for this retreat. They will cater for our meals with simple, nutritious, Jain, vegan, international cuisine.

Join us in this sublime experience!

FAQs

1. Who can register?

The retreat is primarily open to Mumukshus.

If you are not a Raj Saubhag Mumkushu and are interested in coming then feel free to register your name and we can place you on the waiting list. If a place becomes free we will let you know.

2. Payments and Waiting List

There are limited spaces and so places are given on a first come first served basis, with some provision given to our elders who will fill out paper forms.

Once we can confirm your place we will send you an email with payment details.

Please make your payment promptly within 7 days of the email otherwise we will offer your space to someone on the waiting list.

If your name has been placed on the waiting list we will inform you if a space becomes available for the retreat and send you payment details at this time.

If you have any questions please contact Ajay: ajay.sanghvi@rajsaubhag.org

3. Transportation

We will be car sharing. This gives us more flexibility and also brings down the cost of the trip substantially. If you are a driver and happy to bring your car let us know in your registration form. Also let us know how many passengers you can bring (each with a small suitcase). We will be compensating drivers £15 for themselves and for each passenger they can bring for the fuel for the trip. We are also keen to encourage car sharing and therefore reduce the total number of cars we will need.

If you need a lift then let us know in your registration and we will try to match you up with a driver.

Plenty of parking available at the venue for free.

4. Location:

St Audries, West Quantoxhead, Somerset, TA4 4DS

5. Timings of the trip

We will leave early Monday 4th June (approx 6:30 - 7am) and plan to meet at a service station just after Bristol on the M5 for brunch with Bhaishree. Remember to bring a packed lunch.

On the return we aim to be back in London on Thursday 7th June before 4 - 5pm.

6. Food

All food will be Jain and Vegan. Unfortunately it will be difficult to cater for specific diets outside of this due to the logistics of such a large group. If you have any specific allergies please let us know in your registration and we will try to accommodate where possible, but unfortunately cannot guarantee this.

Food will be international cuisine (pasta, thai curry, mexican beans etc). There will not be Gujarati cuisine as the catering is being done by the venue and this won't be possible. Please note this.

7. Excursions

Weather permitting we will be doing excursions every day. The Exmoor national park is very beautiful with a rugged coastline and so we look forward to exploring this. If you do not wish to partake in these activities you may stay at our venue and relax or come with us and go for short walks or stay at nearby cafes. Please let your group leader know (we will be assigning these closer to the time)  in advance so we can be aware of where everyone is.

Please note you will not be permitted to go off on your own excursions as we are together with Bhaishree as a group. Logistically we have to be able to manage everyone and so we all have to travel together, or you can stay back at the venue.

8. Healthcare

Please ensure you have your own medications with you for the trip.

In case of needing medical assistance - the closest hospital is Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton (Parkfield Dr, Taunton TA1 5DA) Tel: 01823 333444. There is an A&E emergency department there. For immediate emergencies call 999 for an ambulance.

We have first aiders within our group.

9. Clothing and Footwear.

We will send you more detailed information closer to the trip.

Please only bring 1 small suitcase for the trip as cars will have limited luggage space.

Towels and bed linen are provided by the venue as is food, drinks and water.

Please bring comfortable clothes along with warm clothes for when we go out. It would be prudent to bring a waterproof jacket and shoes for walking/hiking in. A day rucksack for when we are out and about will also be useful.

Please bring a yoga mat as we will be doing yoga and pranayam during the retreat. If you don't have one, please borrow from friends or family as we don't have spares that we can provide. You can also bring your meditation cushions if you wish to sit on the floor. A small blanket is also a good idea to cover yourself up for the final relaxation in the yoga sessions.

Please bring a water bottle with you or flask for hot tea. Both water and tea/coffee will be available all day at the venue and you can fill up before we leave.

Slippers, sandals or flip flops will be useful for within the venue. Accommodation blocks are situated within 2-3 mins walk of the main hall and so you may have to walk outdoors for 100 yards or so to get to the halls and dining rooms.

10. Rooms

Rooms are shared either double or twin rooms. Linen and towels are provided. Most bedrooms have attached en-suite bathrooms or bathrooms shared between 2 bedrooms. Everyone will be allocated their bedroom beforehand.
