The Power of Heartful Conversations
We invite you to participate in our project, the Truth Circle, with the simple intention of sharing the inspiring story of Shrimad Rajchandra with as many people as possible.
How?
We would like you to make a difference in someone's life by sharing with them the beautiful impact that Shrimad's teachings have on you. You could have that long overdue conversation with a friend or give the day off to your domestic help and share with them the story of Shrimad. In other words, spread the magic!
To help you achieve this, we will be sharing a story every month from the book 'Prerak Prasango' (Inspirational Stories of Shrimad Rajchandra, compiled by Paras Jain) which comprises of narrations by seekers of truth of their extraordinary personal experiences with Shrimad.
Why do this?
This simple act of sharing can plant a seed of spiritual inquiry that can result in powerful and positive transformations in the lives of others and encourage them to experience the deeper truth within.

સત્યનું તેજોમય વર્તુળ
હૃદયપૂર્વકનો પ્રેરણાત્મક કથાનુયોગ
પરમ કૃપાળુ દેવની १५०મી જન્મ જયંતિને ઊજવવા માટેનો આ એક સુંદર નિરાળો પ્રયત્ન છે. તેમના જીવનના અનેક રસપ્રદ અને રહસ્યગર્ભિત પ્રસંગોને ભાવપૂર્ણ રીતે જાણવાનો, સમજવાનો અને તે અન્યને ભક્તિપૂર્વક કહેવાનો રોમાંચક લ્હાવો લેવાની આ વાત છે. જો કોઈ હૃદયથી વાર્તા કહે તો તે સાંભળવા માટે તેની આજુબાજુ સહુ ગોઠવાઈ જાય છે. સુંદર આધ્યાત્મિક માહોલ બંધાય છે. તેમાં જોડાયેલા સહુ સત્યનો, સંયમનો અને અંતે સમાધિનો આનંદ માણે છે. પરમ કૃપાળુ દેવના સમકાલીન મુમુક્ષુઓએ, યુગપુરુષ શ્રીમદ્દજી સાથેના ધન્ય અનુભવોની વાત કરી છે. દર મહિને અમે આપને પરમ કૃપાળુ દેવના તે જીવન પ્રસંગોની વાત કરીશું અને આપ તે પ્રસંગો અને તેમાંથી પ્રાપ્ત થતાં બોધને આત્મસાત કરી અન્યને પ્રેરિત કરજો. આમ ધર્મભાવનો દીપક અનેકના હૃદયમાં પ્રદીપ્ત કરજો. મિત્રો, સ્નેહીસ્વજનો, અનુચરો, જેની સાથે પ્રેમથી જોડાયાં છો તે સહુને આ પ્રેરક પ્રસંગોની વાત કરજો.
આવો પ્રયોગ શું કામ?
પ. કૃ. દેવ જેવા મહાપુરુષોના જ્ઞાનમય જીવનને જાણવાનો અને સમજવાનો પ્રયત્ન કરીએ છીએ ત્યારે આપણા અંતરમાં પણ અજવાળાં પથરાય છે. પરમ સત્યને પામવા માટે તેઓએ શું પુરુષાર્થ કર્યો? તેમનું બાળ જીવન કેવું હતું? તેમને ધર્મનો રંગ કેવી રીતે લાગ્યો? તેમનો વૈરાગ્યભાવ કેવો હતો? પરમ સત્યને પામ્યા પહેલાં અને પછીનું તેમનું જીવન કેવું હતું? પ્રતિકૂળ તેમજ અનુકૂળ ઉદય સમયે તેમની શી દશા હતી? જીવન પ્રત્યેનું તેમનું વલણ કેવું હતું? આવા અનેક પ્રશ્નોનાં જવાબો આ પ્રસંગોમાંથી પ્રાપ્ત થશે.
આ પ્રયોગથી શું લાભ?
જેમના જીવન અને કથન દ્વારા મોક્ષનો સાચો માર્ગ પ્રાપ્ત થયો, જેમની પરોક્ષ નિશ્રામાં આ સંસારની ત્રિવિધ તાપાજ્ઞિ વચ્ચે આપણે સમભાવ રાખી શક્યા, તેવા મહાત્માના ગુણો ગાઈને તે ગુણો આપણામાં અને અન્યમાં કેળવાય એવો પવિત્ર પ્રયોગ છે. રાધા અને મીરાંએ જેમ કૃષ્ણના ગુણ ગાઈને, નાચીને સદેહે મુક્તિ અનુભવી તેમ આપણે પણ મુક્ત થવું છે.
The Employer and The Help
Mumbai
A native of Morbi, named Lallu, had been working as Shrimad Rajchandra’s domestic helper for many years. When Lallu was diagnosed with a malignant tumor, Shrimad decided to take complete care of him and nursed him till his very final moments. He would place Lallu’s head on his lap and stroke his hair gently.
Shrimad says, “When someone hires a domestic worker, their intention is to make him work more than what he is being paid for. Due to difficult financial circumstances and other limitations, the worker is unable to start his own business or pursue another profession. Although, he is capable of doing so, he does not have the capital to start with.
An employer, whose intention is to trick the helper into working more for lesser pay, is considered even more lowly and miserable than the helper himself. Therefore, a person who wishes their domestic help well, offers support when needed, shares the workload when the worker is overburdened and is compassionate, is the most ideal employer.”

શેઠ અને નોકર
મુંબઈ
મોરબીનો વતની, લલ્લુ નામનો નોકર, ઘણાં વર્ષોથી શ્રીમદ્જીને ત્યાં કામ કરી રહ્યો હતો. મુંબઈમાં હતો ત્યારે તેને કૅન્સરની ગાંઠ નીકળી હતી. શ્રીમદ્જી તે લલ્લુ નોકરની જાતે સારવાર કરતા. પોતાના ખોળામાં તેનું માથું મૂકી અંત સુધી તેની સંભાળ તેમણે લીધી હતી.
શ્રીમદ્ કહેતા : "જ્યારે કોઈ શેઠ એક ગરીબ વ્યક્તિને નોકર તરીકે રાખે છે, ત્યારે તે શેઠ નોકરના પગાર કરતાં વધારે કામ લેવાની બુદ્ધિથી એની સાથે વ્યવહાર કરે છે. નોકર ગરીબ સ્થિતિમાં હોવાથી, તે વેપાર આદિ કરી શકતો નથી. જોકે તે માણસ વેપાર આદિ કરી શકે તેમ છે, પરંતુ ધંધો કરવા માટે મૂડી નહીં હોવાથી નોકરી કરે છે.
નોકર પાસેથી પગાર કરતાં વધારે લાભ મેળવવાની બુદ્ધિ રાખે, તો તે શેઠ નોકર કરતાં પણ વધારે દરિદ્ર, ભીખ માંગનાર જેવો પામર ગણાય. શેઠ જો નોકર પ્રત્યે એવી ભાવના રાખે કે આ પણ મારા જેવો થાય, શેઠ તેને જોઈતી સહાય કરે, નોકર પર કામનો ઘણો બોજો હોય તો તે વખતે તેને કામમાં મદદ કરે અને નોકર માટે હૃદયમાં અનુકંપા હોય તો તે શેઠ શ્રેષ્ઠ ગણાય.”

My Recommendation is to Rise Above All Causes of Attachments
As narrated by Chhotalal Kushalchand
I received a letter from Shrimad Rajchandra informing me of the demise of my son, Nagindas. The letter was in the handwriting of Shrimad’s younger brother, Mansukhlal Ravjibhai and carried the following message from Shrimad:
“Since the beginning of time, this soul has taken birth in the form of a father, a son, and yet it is not aware of it’s true identity.
Nagindas’s death is an occasion to remind ourselves that since beginningless time, the soul has maintained a false sense of oneness with the body . To overcome this, one must develop detachment birthed by true wisdom. The grief that you are experiencing now is due to your attachment to Nagindas. However, the path of the enlightened ones is such that it frees all who walk on it from the shackles of worldly attachment. I request you to contemplate upon this and rise above all causes of attachments: this alone is my recommendation.”
Upon receiving Shrimad’s uplifting letter, and due to his divine grace, my attachment towards Nagindas reduced gradually although it would resurface from time to time.
“All worldly relationships are momentary.
There is no true happiness in being chained by ephemeral bonds of love.
Everything is transient and destructible. You alone are absolute and indestructible.
Awaken and realise this constant nature of the Self!”

મોહ પ્રેરક કારણોથી નિવર્તવું એ જ અમારી ભલામણ
શ્રીમદ્ અને છોટાલાલ કુશળચંદ
પરમકૃપાળુદેવનો મારા પુત્ર નગીનદાસના મૃત્યુ સબંધી આશ્વાસન પત્ર, જે તેઓએ ભાઈશ્રી મનસુખભાઈ રવજીભાઈ પાસે લખાવ્યો હતો, તે મને પ્રાપ્ત થયો હતો. પરમકૃપાળુદેવે તેમાં બોધ આપતા કહ્યું હતું કે,
“અનાદિકાળથી આ આત્મા અનેકવાર પુત્રરૂપે થયો, પિતારૂપે થયો, છતાં તે પોતાનું સાચું સ્વરૂપ શું છે તે હજુ સુધી જાણતો નથી. ભાઈ નગીનદાસના મરણ પ્રસંગે યાદ રાખજો કે, અનાદિકાળથી આ આત્માએ દેહમાં મારાપણું માન્યું છે, તે ખોટું છે, એમ જ્ઞાનગર્ભિત વૈરાગ્ય ભાવ કેળવીને સમજવાનું છે. તમને તમારા પુત્ર નગીનદાસ પ્રત્યેના મોહને કારણે વિશેષ ખેદ થવો સંભવિત છે પરંતુ જ્ઞાનીનો માર્ગ તો મોહાદિ બંધનોથી મુક્ત થવાનો છે એમ ખાસ લક્ષ રાખીને મોહ પ્રેરક કારણોથી નિવર્તવું એ જ અમારી ભલામણ છે.”
પરમકૃપાળુદેવના આ બોધવચનોના અનુગ્રહે નગીનદાસ પ્રત્યેનો મારો મોહભાવ ઘણે અંશે ઓછો થયો હતો, છતાં ક્યારેક ક્યારેક તે સ્મૃતિમાં આવી જાય છે.
“સઘળાં સંસારી સંબંધો ક્ષણભર છે, એમાં પ્રેમબંધનની સાંકળે બંધાઈને શું રાચવું? તાત્પર્ય એ સઘળાં ચપળ અને વિનાશી છે, તું અખંડ અને અવિનાશી છે, માટે તારા જેવી નિત્ય વસ્તુને પ્રાપ્ત કર !”
